Managing Director
Mark Durr is the Managing Director and founder of Capricorn Capital. He is a seasoned investment banker with over 25 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience, advising clients on a range of strategic merger, acquisition and capital markets transactions. Between 2009 and 2016 Mark has operated as an independent investment banker in Sub-Saharan Africa, advising a wide range of clients operating in or wishing to enter the region. Previously, Mark served as Head of Wealth Management and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in South Africa (2001-2009). Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mark was an Executive Director at UBS in London(1998-2000); Director: Listings at the JSE Securities Exchange (1996-1997); Manager in the Corporate and International Finance Department at Anglo American of SA Ltd (1991-1995); and an Assistant Solicitor at Linklaters in London (1989-1990). Mark holds a B.A. LLB from Stellenbosch University and a LLM from Cambridge University.

Investment Banking Analyst
Glenn Henning is a CA(SA) with more than 10 years of corporate finance, investment banking and private equity experience, having served both a broad range of clients in an advisory capacity as well as having originated and executed on proprietary deals in the private equity and listed holding company environments. After completing articles in the banking and financial services team of Deloitte Johannesburg (2005-2007), Glenn joined the Deloitte Corporate Finance transaction services team as a manager (2008-2010). He was a lead M&A advisor at Sasfin Bank (2010-2014), a deal team transactor at Coast2Coast (2014-2016) and a senior corporate finance executive at Transaction Capital (2016-2017). For the greater part of 2017 Glenn was engaged in a start-up environment as a special projects strategy lead for Transaction Capital, developing a unique rewards programme for the taxi industry. Glenn is a JSE approved executive and holds a B.Acc from WITS.
Juan Oosthuizen joined Rand Merchant Bank's Windhoek office in 2016, as an Investment Banking Transactor, directly after graduating from Stellenbosch University. Working closely with the specialist teams in South Africa, he worked on a number of deals across different industries and sectors in both a debt arranging and corporate advisory capacity. Juan was part of the team who originated, structured, and executed one of the first fully project financed renewable energy deals in Namibia. Juan holds BEng (Mechanical) and MEng (Engineering Management) degrees from Stellenbosch University and has passed the CFA Level 1 exam.
Corporate Finance Analyst
Anastacia is a research analyst, experienced in researching and analysing companies and industries in the Namibian market. Upon graduating from Stellenbosch University in 2012 with a B.Com degree specialising in Financial Accounting, Anastacia completed a 2 month internship at Stimulus Private Equity where she received training on due diligence analysis. Thereafter she joined Deloitte Namibia assisting the external audit department with Financial Statements review at a company and group level, where she gained insight into Namibian taxation legislation as well as risk assessment and working capital cycle analysis. The clients Anastacia audited have given her insight into the operations of both Namibian public sector entities as well as listed entities. Anastacia spent 8 months in Deloitte Consulting where she assisted in financial modelling, the analysis of existing policies and the drafting of new policies, procedures, systems descriptions and controls, company strategy formulation and remuneration benchmarking. From 2016 to 2018 Anastacia worked in wealth management for Old Mutual Namibia, where she fulfilled a role as liaison with the group’s intermediaries, assisting them in understanding the rationale, construction and management of Old Mutual Namibia’s investment funds.
